The SandStorm Meetup hosted a historical first-ever multiplayer Sandbox experience

The future of NFT gaming is being built in the Sandbox. We believe that everything we see in the physical world will be mirrored in the metaverses. Soon, people will be buying and renting lands, building future cities, monetizing their real-estate and making the Sandbox their main income source.

All these builders, creators and investors will need a home. It is a home to gather, make friends, learn, build together, and network their paths in this new exciting world.

That’s why we teamed up with our partner The Sandbox, and created the SandStorm Meetup platform — the biggest Sandbox community. We aim to bring like-minded people together to educate and drive awareness to builders in Sandbox to accelerate ecosystem growth.

The Sandbox is an upcoming Ethereum-backed metaverse where users can create and monetize assets. Users can also buy parcels of LAND in The Sandbox and rent them out for profit. For more information on the game, we suggest that you watch the explainer video on Sandbox’s official YouTube channel.

SandStorm’s NFT activities

The SandStorm team are builders.

Currently, we’re the seventh biggest land-owner on The Sandbox and one of the five VIP game developers selected by The Sandbox executive team. Like everybody in the NFT space, we’re learning at a rapid pace and having a blast.

Right now, we’re creating a team full of skilled builders, NFT strategists and genius game developers. In the future, we plan to utilize our lands with various concepts and monetize them to create exemplary models for other builders and creators. Furthermore, we’ll be opening our services to the brands that are migrating to this new reality. In a way, we’ll onboard them into this new world and play a consultant & builder role on demand.

We prioritize education. Therefore, we aim to bring the most popular creators in the space on our stage with bi-weekly events / meetups.

• Our first official meetup was with the Cyberkongz. Kongz has one of the biggest lands in Sandbox. And they shared their plans with over two hundred people listening on Discord. Ahead of the event, we gave away nine Kongz VX to the community valued at 0.5 ETH each.
• Before the second Sandstorm Meetup, our team created the Sandstorm Meetup HQ in our plot of land in only a matter of days to host the first ever multiplayer experience. We also gave away six Axies ahead of the second Sandstorm Meetup valued at 0.1 ETH each.

The first-ever multiplayer event in The Sandbox

Our second Sandstorm Meetup attracted a significant amount of attention on both Twitter and Discord. Not only was the first multiplayer experience inside The Sandbox an historic and important event for the Metaverse, it brought broader attention to The Sandbox community as a whole. Our meetup earned raves on Twitter:

• Our two guests for the second Sandstorm Meetup were Sarutobi Sasuke (Head of Partnerships, Yield Guild Games) and Sebastien Borget. (Co-Founder, The Sandbox) Sasuke and Borget answered questions from fans about the future of play-to-earn gaming and the in-game economy of The Sandbox.
• Sandstorm invited forty of the top metaverse influencers to roam the Sandstorm Meetup HQ and engage in a virtual dance party for our second Sandstorm Meetup. Our influencers included past Sandstorm guest WallaceNFT and journalist Niftyhontas from NFT publication NFT Plaza. Through utilizing influencers, we were able to spread the word about Sandstorm Meetup and build hype amongst the metaverse community.

• @Sandstormmeetup doubled its follower base on both Twitter and Discord that day with five hundred people either watching the stream on Twitch or listening in on Discord.

Sandstorm issued a POAP (Proof of Attendance) token, and distributed it to participants.

SandStorm Meetup will be the GO-TO community for land-owners and builders

Sandstorm Meetup mission is to bring The Sandbox community together. We plan on being both an entry point for novel players in The Sandbox, as well as experienced players who are looking to connect with like-minded game developers and builders. Like The Sandbox itself, Sandstorm Meetup is only getting started.

Sandstorm will be holding all of its future meetups inside The Sandbox. We expect that the Sandstorm Meetup HQ will become the go-to place for all meetups and gatherings inside of The Sandbox.
