SanRL2 • Closing Competitions & Undertanding SanR

Understanding SanR isn’t always easy, also, because the Santiment Team is trying to adjust the application to it’s best user experience.

What is given since a while is, that SanR’s Epochs are inspired by the moon cycle. We got a New Moon Competition & a Full Moon Competition. This means that we have to look at each so called Epoch from two, or even three, angles.

Let’s try to understand the different “Epochs”, “Competitions” and “Cycles”:

There is the Epoch which is already over, but signals are overlapping so it can take 2 more weeks, until all signals of the past round are closed and can be rewarded.

The Epoch which is currently running. Signals may be closed by the end of the following round. Signals you gave in the previous round will influence your performance in this Epoch.

The future Epoch. Signals you give in the current Epoch will influence the future Epoch.

Rewards will be given after a full Cycle is closed.

The following graph might shed some light on how a Full Cycle looks like:

Epoch 11 was a New Moon Competition (July 13–28), followed by the past Epoch 12 (July 28 — August 12) which was a Full Moon Competition, completing the full cycle and closing with the “New Moon Rewards”, kicking off at the same time Epoch 13, a new New Moon Competition on August 12.

On the left we see the table of Epoch 11, the moment it got closed on July 28.

On the right side, we see the final table of Epoch 11 and how it looks now, where all signals got closed.

Comparing both tables, we see some little movements within Qilin and Dragon-League as some of the signals given during Epoch 11 got closed during Epoch 12.

Epoch 11 is now finalised and also rewarded.

Below an overview of the rewards given this New Moon Competition:

Each New Moon Competition is followed by a Full Moon Competition and vice versa.

The Full Moon Competition Epoch 12 got closed, but we can still observe some changes, again, because there are signals which are still open (see kiriyha in Phoenix).

Epoch 13, which is another New Moon Competition, is currently running and waiting for your signals!!
