“He will be awake even while asleep,
So that he will see dreams while awake.” — Rumi

“When the soul is concentrated at the point between the eyes [third eye center], our condition is the same as at the time of death. If we now take the soul further up, we will become familiar with the path we must take after death. This process is called meditation. The saints tell us that with meditation we can gradually develop the habit of holding the soul at or above the eyes, thereby conquering sleep. When your soul is fixed above the eyes, outwardly you look as though you are asleep, but inwardly you are fully conscious.”
