The Mystery of the Divine Light: “This mystery of the Light can be solved only in the depth of meditation in which all the senses are controlled and merge into the mind, and the mind merges into the soul, and the soul into the Godhead. This experience cannot be described in words. Even Lord Brahma, who uttered the four Vedas, could not make any one experience this state of union. The erudite people of the world also fall short of this experience, until they go beyond material knowledge, and merge themselves in the Light of the soul and realize, intuitively, the union of this Light with the Light of God.” (Dr. Jagessar Das, commentary on Shabda 94 of Kabir’s Treasure — Bijak).

Kabir: “Please tell me, in what language can you explain Niranjan [Lord]? He has no hands, feet, mouth, ears or tongue. O man! How can you describe Him? If you say that one Light (soul) gives Light to another (mind), then tell me what is the evidence you have for that Light? If the one Light (mind) merges into the other Light (soul), then where has that Light gone? Brahma produced the four Vedas, but he did not explain this mystery. Kabir says, ‘Listen O saints! A learned pandit may fathom this mystery.’”
