This is why we started Santiment, 3 years ago today.

To bring clarity to the crypto market.
Because it carries important keys to our freedom.
But only if we can see clearly and not get caught up in all the Wild West noise.
So… how do we get clarity into the crypto market? Have we succeeded?
Well, we’ve had another year to study it, now that we have machines crunching massive amounts of chain and social data, and humans watching for patterns (and sharing their insights with the community!)
And we’ve found its pretty simple –
We can read the crypto market fairly well through *behavior analytics*
Simply by learning *how* to observe what people are doing.
Of course, simple doesn’t always mean easy ;)
We’ve discovered a lot of surprises, and challenges, in getting to this point.
These surprises and challenges have taught us how to further hone our services, so we can better help YOU understand it — and ultimately give you (and the community at large) the power to direct your own crypto destiny.
First… let’s see what we’ve put in place in the last year, to make the behavior analytics possible:
- Consolidated Insights into increasingly actionable signals. There’s some “travel time” under us now — enough to start validating patterns we’ve been observing — so we’ve been packaging these into a variety of publications for both subscribers and the public at large. Readers can keep a finger on the pulse with some great free newsletters, and unlock deeper Pro Insights with a Sanbase Pro subscription (and a SAN discount!)
- Discovered new alpha and created new valuation methods while ramping up our backtesting efforts to figure out what truly works and what’s just noise.
- Matured the core product, Sanbase, with activity feeds, multi-chart and token comparison features, numerous new metrics and much more. Subscribers can try it free for 14 days. Through each part of Sanbase we’ve aimed to serve the crypto community with applied transparency — ICO treasuries and many of the metrics give a comprehensive overview of what’s going on.
- Added several pre-crafted templates to Sansheets, our Google spreadsheets plugin. These templates give you a jump start in visualizing leading indicators like NVT and DAA Divergence, as well as aggregating data all on one chart to keep tabs on multiple metrics like Token Age Consumed, MVRV, and Mean Age (among others).
- Launched affiliate and SAN rewards programs. If you’re a SAN fan, you can now earn rewards for using our data in your analyses and sharing the knowledge with your audience. We’ve teamed with several crypto writers and Youtubers to support them with Santiment market intelligence — so if you’re looking to beef up your feed, you’re welcome to join us!
- Grew our followers, community and customer base. We’ve heard time and again that people want more information quickly, so we’ve stepped up production of analysis and in-the-moment commentary to help guide and educate everyone who signs on. The response so far gives us confidence that we’re on a good path.

Just Getting Started
After all that, we’re really just at the beginning.
Now it’s time to work on the true power of the system — the decentralization.
This is where the people — YOU — ultimately take charge.
We’re crafting some new tools and education courses to bring this knowledge and continued learning to you.
It will involve a more robust token economy, with greater SAN rewards integration. Alot like DeFi building a decentralized finance system, we are working in the background on decentralizing the market intelligence.
