One of the biggest challenges facing the retail industry lies in the inefficiency of daily store operations. If the right product is not on the shelf or out of stock, a purchase might be missed. ARpalus’s solution powered by AI, Computer Vision, and Augmented Reality digitizes shelves, allowing CPG manufacturers and retailers to better execute their in-store operations.

With a smartphone, iPad, or AR glasses, any employee can scan a shelf, and in real time, be notified of any out-of-stock and compliance issues. As the computer vision analyzes the shelf quickly, within seconds, the employee knows what action to take, and gets virtual assistance to do his or her daily job much more efficiently. ARpalus’s bottom-up approach improves the productivity of a single employee, which ripples over into the productivity of colleagues, the entire store, and ultimately the region, allowing managers to best understand what is happening each day on the store-level.

During their time at SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv, ARpalus shaped their product’s concept, in part due to the findings from their collaboration with the professionals in the SAP network. Furthermore, ARpalus became an SAP PartnerEdge partner, is now integrating with SAP Sales Cloud and is working with SAP’s “Perfect Store” product team to utilize ARpalus to help SAP optimize retail sales and achieve optimized product positioning in stores.
