5. Why Moshi?
Moshi is a good 2 hours drive towards east from Arusha. You can’t really speed up to more than 80–90 kmh on most roads. For some it might seem slow, but at least I felt safe in the car.
Not to mention how much I like to stare out of the window while traveling with a car or train (best thing is to notice all the wild animals you can see, and then share your observations with your traveling partner next seat, who usually couldn’t care less about your animals).
Our original plan was to visit the village only (from part 4.) but David could arrange us two extra destinations. We didn’t actually mind that, even if we ended up squeezing 15 cartons of peanut butter into a minivan before leaving Arusha town to deliver an order to a Moshi wholesaler.
Upon arrival to our target town I played around with the 70D camera, that Maribel Young borrowed us for our trip.

After getting rid of the peanut butter load at the store, we made our way to one of David’s friend, Robert. Do you remember our interpreter I referred in part 4? He is by the way the CEO of another social enterprise, Affordable Computers and Technology for Tanzania (ACTT).
They provide computers and services, like education and training for the youth, primarily for girls, who are in need, on different locations in Tanzania. They teach for example, to how to put a CV together, that supports them to enter to the higher qualified job market.
I had a very good personal impression about Robert, and it was inspiring to listen to his story about utilizing his computer science experience for a cause that improves people’s lives, on a rather large scale.
