Selamat pagi, Terima kasih… first few words of Malay I learnt as part of our preparation, as the countdown to launch next exercise of SAP Social Sabbatical program begun. I am eagerly looking forward to the launch date — 13th of July…

In less than 3 weeks from now, I will join a select group of talented fellow SAP professionals, we are paired with social sector organizations in Malaysia focused in the sectors of digital literacy, workforce development, and entrepreneurship. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to turn SAP’s vision of ‘helping the world run better and improving people’s lives’ into action.

The SAP Social Sabbatical is not just any program — it’s an award winning, elite, global pro bono consulting initiative, with a successful history of more than a decade. This program empowers us to share our knowledge and expertise with non-profits and social enterprises worldwide. By collaborating with these inspiring organizations, we aim to drive sustainable, long-term benefits for their beneficiaries and our communities.

As the days tick down and our preparation towards this program as well, my anticipation grows. I can’t wait to meet the team and embrace this challenge, learn from incredible social leaders, and contribute to impactful projects that align with SAP’s mission. This journey promises to be transformative, both professionally and personally, as we work together to create meaningful change.

I am proud to be part of such a prestigious program, which delivered long-term sustainable impact, being part of the program in its next leg of impact. I am also look forward to bringing back valuable insights from this program to our company.
