Fabulous start to Marcomms workshop & research for NVI, Tue 13 Feb, day 9

The team split activities fir Marcomms with half on workshop and other half on field research, toolkit and VTI notes compilation

Workshop team left at 8am, workshop started at 9:39 due to late arrival. After prayer and welcome the 10 attendees drifted in and out during the day. Unfortunately, board members and principle were not present on a regular basis which meant the attendees were less vocal with input.

We got through communications, SWOT, segmentation,target audience, although marketing objectives and strategy were slow. Lunch and breaks were late and we pumped us. The mood with some fun energising short games

Good feedback with some room for improvement….looking forward to day 2 of workshop

Back to hotel for debrief with full Marcomms team and review of Day 2. The field research, toolkit team provides an update of excellent progress.

Dinner at Glory hotel with short pool competition, a few beers

Things to remember/ learnt: take time everything happens slowly; subordinates are hesitant to commit to estimates and numbers, Ugandans have lots of love to share – young kids and children always bring a smile to your face
