Florianópolis Week 1: Discovery Journey
Indulging ourselves into a business ecosystem environment that is both dynamic and robust is exciting. Team Semente Negócios started this week with a discovery journey into how the local client functions.
The team conducted value proposition workshop with Marcio Jappe to learn that Semente Negócios had two customer types in their business model: funding-customers and entrepreneur customers.
The team reviewed existing Personas for funding customer types, and developed a value map for funding-customer type which surfaced need for more strategy work before downstream business model innovation and a marketing plan could be developed. As well, realized Massive Open Online Course value proposition linkage with marketing.
Furthermore, the team conducted consultancy sessions with clients. Reviewed communication / marketing status and future plans (website, blogs, social media). Reviewed competitors (products / services & social media). Pivoted focus of project on entrepreneur customers starting with alumni community. Brainstormed first potential new services.
When analyzing their provided data, we identified the need to have a centralized database to track properly entrepreneurs and clients data.
Outside work, we attended couple of night events and restaurants including Oyster Festival “Fena Ostra”.
On Friday October 13! there was heavy rain with lots of thunderstorms that caused the smart TV in the hotel to malfunction. It was a nice weather like 20 degrees and not -9999 degrees :)
Over last weekend, I did some work and enjoyed the beautiful nature of the island.
