Florianópolis Week 2: Rolling Up Our Sleeves and Getting Our Hands Dirty!
The main objective of Semente Negócios project is to leverage the Caminho Empreendedor methodology as a foundation to develop and market new and existing services.
To market more effectively the methodology, we are working on developing a strategy across multiple communication channels and a new data model for entrepreneurs who progress through a Semente lifecycle of lead, candidate, participant, and then alumni. As well the project objective is to develop a 2020 roadmap for a new business model starting with services targeted to entrepreneur such as Alumni Community.
We continued our work at IMPACT HUB Floripa working space. Uber became our main transportation tool. To be honest before Brazil, I never used Uber, while now I am using it all the time due to its flexibility, cheap price by half from regular taxis and better service. Most of Uber drivers are young people with newer cars and nice music!
JP and Anna worked on defining digital and impact entrepreneur personas, developed 2020 roadmap phase 1 & 2, completed alumni resource center productized service prioritization, developed graphic to visualize shift to trusted brand and advisor, and completed business model caves (BMC) value proposition for 1st half of 2018 and another BMC value proposition for 2nd half of 2018.
On the other hand, Anna moderated a consulting session on massive open online course between Semente team and SAP colleague from openSAP platform. She reviewed communication, marketing status and future plans (website, blogs, social media). Researched TV / Radio channels, blogs around innovation and entrepreneurship, and communication tools in order to automate. Wrote first draft of communication strategy for Semente.
In regard to data, I worked on analyzed four different databases by providing detailed KPI results using SAP Lumira for existing Subscribers, Campaigns and Programs. Researched and analyzed KPI visualization tools and did comparison for 6 tools with advantages and disadvantages. Provided recommendation to use “DataBox” as a free web service with provided mobile app. Researched and analyzed Customer Relationship Management (CRM) proprietary and open source software, and recommended “Salesforce” as 1st option, and “SuiteCRM” as 2nd option. “Salesforce” provides free licenses for non-profit organizations and educational institutions that is very attractive and matches what we need. Additionally, I did research for community social networking tools and recommended “Oxwall”.
As well, I continued the work on architectural data model for Accounts, Programs, MooC, Alumni, and other models.
I don’t consider myself a photographer, but I like beautiful nature photos and captured some with my mobile. Floripa is a beautiful city filled with passion and love.
Over the weekend, I traveled to Rio de Janeiro. I was not sure at the beginning if I should make the visit due to all the security concerns of safety and the gangs activities around the city. By now I would say this was the most exciting vacation I ever had. I stayed in Arena Copacabana hotel with ocean view. I had the chance to have half a day visit to Christ the Redeemer and another half a day visit to Sugarloaf Mountain. To maximize the visit, I took a helicopter tour that made the trip more fun!
Looking forward for more productivity in week 3.
