Ellilta Products (EP) was the project that myself together with Mohamad and Areeba from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan respectively were assigned to in our 2 weeks SAP Sabbatical assignment. EP is the for profit organization of Ellilta International (EI) and its profits go 100% to EI on it’s mission to make women thrive by taking them out of the sex worker life in the streets of Ethiopia.

So far EI has taken 1000+ women from the street and is now at a current rate of 20–30 per year in a program which runs for ~12 to 18 months. There are three main results out of this program:
1) EI will provide the necessary assistance for women to become an entrepreneur, for instance for her to start her own hairdresser or coffee shop,
2) EI will help connect women with in employer in her skilled area or
3) Women will want to develop their skills in weaving and jewelry and so they will join Ellilta Products staff.

The recommendation EP sought from the engagement with SAP was targeted at their social media communications but soon we realised that a solid base on their product portfolio, production and sales operation was needed as well as on their hardcopy materials and overall communications hence we did a 360º review of their business.
