SAP Social Sabbatical Portfolio Wins Gold in HCM Citizenship
The SAP Social Sabbatical portfolio won a coveted Brandon Hall Group Gold Award for excellence in the HCM Workforce Management: Citizenship category. The HCM Citizenship Award is one of the latest additions of the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program, considered the most prestigious awards program in the industry. It was established to recognize organizations that are at the forefront of social change, go beyond employee training and create pathways to meaningful employment for their workforce and/or their community, thus positively impacting our world.
SAP Social Sabbatical is an award-winning corporate social responsibility portfolio designed to both leverage and develop talent at SAP and help mission-driven organizations focused on bridging the digital divide to Run Simple. SAP employees are placed in highly diverse teams to dedicate their skills, expertise, and know-how in a unique, short-term assignment. The assignment achieves triple impact: solving concrete strategic challenges for client organizations, developing leadership skills of participants, and advancing SAP as an employer of choice. Starting with the flagship program in 2012, CSR has partnered with PYXERA Global to expand this program from 30 to 300 participants annually within only five years, giving SAP employees at all levels of the company a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn the vision at SAP to “help the world run better and improve people’s lives” into action.

Excellence Award winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference January 31 — February 2, 2018, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Selected winners also will serve as presenters in the more than 20 breakout sessions during the 3½-day event.
