I have embraced the culture of “Panamanian Time” where the norm is to show up a few minutes fashionably late as Part 3 takes us back to week 1 of the project (as we have just completed week 3).

The SAP Social Sabbatical participants had an opportunity to introduce themselves to the group and the torch was handed over to the client organisations who were so eager to meet us. We met at Ciudad del Saber, which translates to the City of Knowledge and each organisation had the opportunity to introduce themselves and what they do. After a warm welcome, each sub-team went off to their respective groups’ office locations.

Monica Moreno, the director of Fundacion Calicanto’s hospitable nature was clear as she personally ferried us off to the office location in the old city Casco where the Social Sabbatical team had a tour the other day. After a short tour of the surrounding area, we were ready to get down to business.
