Time Travels so fast.. Week 1
We started our 1st week visiting Vision for Youth Office. Amazing organization; working for Youth of Tanzania.
We met a Young Entrepreneur Ignus and his story was very inspiring. He did not have resources to continue his education. He came to know about Vision for Youth from his friends. Vision for Youth organized a competition where people can present their business ideas. Ignus presented his business idea and won 2nd prize. He started his own business with prize money. He is running his business which is self sustainable. He is planning to go for advanced education and now, he can also support education of his sister.
We spent our 1st week understanding Vision for Youth organization as part of our discovery phase. We learnt about their working model, how they operate, how do they organize different projects and their partner organizations.
We visited Vision for Youth partner organization office where we met with their partners. They are collaborating with each other on so many fronts to make a difference to the society.
We spent lot of time in our hotel doing brainstorming around different topics that we learnt in our discovery phase.
We have a big task ahead of us. But we as a team are confident that we will be able to support Vision for Youth to realize their dreams. Next week will be a challenging week.
