It’s Only the Beginning

It is too surreal, it must be a dream. The beauty surrounding me in is beyond words. Although the trip was long and treacherous, it was well worth the journey. Upon arriving at our hotel, Pantai Mas, we were greeted with fresh coconut and plumerias. That was the moment I knew I had entered into paradise.

Back home I have two little nephews who have named me Mimi, a name that I now share with the pet monkey here is Bali. She is the most amazing creature to observe. I’ve spent much time being groomed by her, yet I’m not sure if it’s me or my wedding ring she prefers most. Her cage is located in the middle of the courtyard, surrounded by lush vegetation. The trees and flowers make it appear like a jungle, all leading out to the ocean.

My main interest in coming to bali is the ocean. I have spent most of my day underwater, snorkeling around the coral reef. It is a whole other world out there. The only starfish I have seen are bright blue, some measuring up to two feet in diameter. It’s truly a breathtaking experience.

I look forward to many more conversations with the people here and being able to take away as much knowledge as I can. I am ready for the many adventures yet to come. As for now, I will take every moment as it comes and enjoy the time I have. Including getting away from technology. The ocean is calling.
