February Recap of What is Happening in the Sarcophagus World

If you’ve already been in Discord you will notice one thing: testnet plans are coming to fruition. We started to spin up are node operators' ecosystem in order to provide as close to the realistic scenario that we should see in mainnet. In the short time spinning up the nodes in testnet we have seen over 100+ nodes set up and ready to serve end users who want to create Sarcophagus.

There have been a lot of new members that have begun to follow along on Sarcophagus socials as many are eagerly anticipating the testing of the updated v2 dApp for Sarcophagus.

Before jumping into the content a huge shout out to our newest mods: Megumii, kral01, and socrates!!

DAO Governance Votes:

Vote#31&32: Quarterly Development Funding— This proposal is to fund technical development for Sarcophagus by our partner Decent DAO. This will secure funding for technical support post mainnet launch.(Link for 31 and link for 32)

Archaeologist Node Upgrade Completed

Once the node kickstart program was started, some minor tweaks were made to the codebase and smart contracts to improve functionality. The team at Sarcophagus was pleasantly surprised to see once those changes were implemented that getting the army of nodes updated went relatively smoothly. Kudos to our node operators for being able to get that completed.

dApp Testing Round

This test period will allow the team to collect valuable feedback and address any possible improvements before the mainnet launch. To help users better understand how it works, we have created a short video walkthrough of using the V2 dApp!

Sarcophagus Goerli dApp Walkthrough

A pool on Goerli Uniswap has been established where you can get testnet gSARCO tokens to use for testing the dApp. If you don’t have gETH to swap for gSARCO, you can ask for testnet tokens in the channel 🚧testnet-users🚧 channel.

Now that you have reviewed the Walkthrough and acquired some gSARCO, access the dApp dashboard and connect your Goerli wallet to get started! Please try out the different features, such as using different combinations of nodes, and rewrapping with shorter/longer times.

NOTE: The Bundlr testnet integration can take up to 30 minutes or more to process a gETH deposit, so give it some time to complete the tx then finish creating your Sarcophagus. This shouldn’t be an issue once launched on mainnet.

Sarcophagus was able to manage a presence at ETHDenver and connected with various other projects discussing future integrations to further help get a decentralized dead man’s switch more visibility and usability in the blockchain and crypto community. More to come as we flush out ideas that came out of the conference.
