Saronic Expands Headquarters to Support Rapid Development & Manufacturing of Autonomous Surface Vessels for the U.S. Military
Saronic is expanding its company headquarters and production and manufacturing facilities in Austin, Texas, after acquiring an additional 65,000 square feet to support the rapid design, development, production, and manufacturing of its growing family of autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). Saronic’s expansion will also create more than 100 jobs this year, bringing its total employee headcount to more than 200 by the end of 2024.
Rapidly scaling the production and delivery of ASVs to naval and maritime forces to meet growing mission demand is a critical focus for the company. With this expansion, Saronic will have the capacity to produce hundreds of its ASVs annually. The new facility will also support the development and production of its largest vessel, Corsair, which is designed to satisfy highly urgent and impactful operational requirements for maritime unmanned systems.

Saronic will maintain its existing machine shop, bringing its total occupancy in Austin to nearly 100,000 square feet of operational space. It will also continue to utilize its 5,000+ square foot ocean testing facility in Galveston, Texas, to ensure its ASVs can be evaluated and tested against real-world conditions and operational environments.
Founded in 2022, Saronic has steadily grown its presence in Austin. Over the past two years, it has grown from an initial team of eight employees operating out of a single combined design, production, and manufacturing space to a team of over 85 software engineers, naval architects, technologists, and military experts working within a dedicated office space, production and manufacturing facility, and two testing sites.
