She’s sleepy now but she won’t be forever…

She runs her fingers over the bruises
yup, they’re still there.
It really happened

She felt like sinking into the earth
so she can return as a bloom
to put a smile on the face of
some suicidal woman awaiting spring

But she didn’t have the energy to leave the couch
she laid there for days and slept and slept
and dreamed of sleeping

She’s not the same girl anymore
