To our valued customers,

We would like to update everyone on the status of the Bylls and Bitcoin Outlet websites, and give some context on the current outage — both to put your minds at ease and be transparent with what is happening behind the scenes.

On October 20th, our cloud hosting service had a major hardware failure which resulted in significant downtime. As of October 23rd, we have not yet been able to fully restore the services. We expect the services to be restored this week, at latest on Monday October 29th.

All customer data remained safe, with absolutely no loss of funds for our users and for ourselves.

We are working hard to restore our services, which unfortunately must involve sustained manual labor. Be assured that we take this incident seriously and have already set-up new procedures so this doesn’t happen again.

We understand that many of you rely on Bylls for your everyday personal and business operations involving Bitcoin, and we were humbled by your messages of concern and support. We are more motivated than ever to ensure the highest level of standards for Bitcoin users in Canada.

Bad news? Good news!

On the bright side, we had a scheduled maintaince planned to occur at the end of this week to roll out the new and improved Bylls 2.0 as well as the launch of the Bitcoin Outlet Beta platform.

We are working around the clock to get the website back up, this time with a sleek new look and feel, as well as awesome new features.

Finally, we know a lot of people have come to rely on Bylls. Because of this, we can continue process any urgent payments manually. Contact us directly at contact@satoshiportal.com and we will be happy to assist you in performing manual bill payments with Bitcoin.

Thank you for your understanding,

Francis Pouliot,
CEO and founder of Satoshi Portal
