Reality

I think I see,
but I’m not sure,
can I ever be sure?

Is it certain what I see,
is what you see,
is that what is real?

I worry that it isn’t,
that I’m trapped in a dream,
and failing to wake.

I fear I’ve lost the truth,
that my delusions reign,
reality lost in shadows.

How would I know,
would I care to know,
could it help me?

Perhaps I’m better here,
it’s comfortable here,
I feel safe here.
