I’ve pushed live the latest version of saved.io. I decided to give it a new version number as it sports a completely brand new design and also a number of new features for power users.

New features. Same simplicity

I’ve decided to wrap any new features I add into an optional pro upgrade. Not only does this support the development of the site, it makes sure the core of the app remains unchanged.

I’m slowly evolving the app to add new functionality but making sure it’s still as simple and easy to use as when it launched.

For pro users, every new feature can be turned on or off, so that you won’t get annoyed by interface changes.

So whats new:

Here are some of the new things that have been added in v3

New Design

The new design is simpler to use and makes better use of space. You can also now select and delete multiple bookmarks at once. The new design also works much better on mobile screens

Unread List

You can now see which bookmarks you haven’t read yet. This is particularly useful for people using Saved.io as a “read it later” list.

Return on Save

Currently when you save a bookmark (by typing ‘saved.io/’ in front of a url) you’re taken to Saved.io. Now you have the option to return back to the original url. You can now save a bookmark, without having to leave the page you are reading.

Interface Settings

One of the most common pieces of feedback I’ve received is to change the position of the quick save bar. You now have the option to put it at the top of the page. You can also now change the number of bookmarks that are displayed per page.
