Ripple (XRP)
Ripple is one of the largest cryptocurrencies. Unlike Bitcoin, it is not primarily intended for everyday payments, but instead, is targeted at banks and financial institutions. Ripple’s xRapid platform allows banks to perform fast, inexpensive money transfers and has been adopted by many notable institutions, allowing Ripple to gain significant recognition within mainstream finance.
Stellar (XLM)
Stellar is also a popular cryptocurrency. It is notable for its role in IBM Worldwire, a new payment system that facilitates international bank transfers.
