It was a shock to Nintendo fans when “Undertale” developer Toby Fox was revealed to be involved in Game Freak’s “Little Town Hero.” That shock led to speculation about whether Fox would contribute to Game Freak’s main IP, Pokémon.

On November 1st, Fox confirmed on Twitter that he was indeed asked by Game Freak to compose a track for Pokémon Sword/Shield as well, and it’s leaked to Twitter. If you’re avoiding all spoilers for the new mainline game, we recommend you wait to listen — unless you can’t resist.

The track preview was uploaded by Twitter user “@FileSelectAU,” called “Battle Theme.” It’s currently unknown whether this is the primary in-battle theme, but Fox’s suggestion that it’s not “a main track” suggests that it isn’t.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield release on November 15th, 2019.
