4 Things We Learned From our Product Hunt Launch.

Product Hunt is a website that lets users share and discover new products. A successful Product Hunt launch is every entrepreneurs wet dream, without a doubt. Having your Product/Service in a community full of entrepreneurs and investors is like a big and bad billboard in the heart of Silicon Valley, for free.

Now, what things did we learn from our launch of Sayar Care on the PH?

Glad you asked.

  1. For every ten supporters, theres one sour guy living in his parents basement that wants you to fail.
He will post pathetic comments without even looking for an answer, just a reason to doubt and make his life feel a wee bit better. Brace yourself.
  2. A good PH launch can give you more Brand Awareness than months in business.
With the correct research on how to launch and how to address questions, there is a tremendous amount to be gained. (FREE BRAND AWARENESS). Here’s some useful reading material: https://blog.producthunt.com/how-to-launch-on-product-hunt-7c1843e06399
  3. The PH community asks good questions, be prepared!
Being that a lot of the community is educated in the startup world and building businesses, they”ll pull out the big guns and ask you the real q’s your mom wouldn’t.
  4. Time of launch does matter:
Launching during the morning hours is generally a good idea just so people see it on their way to work and it has all day on the home page. Aside from that, you want to post on Product Hunt on a quiet day. For example, don’t post your product on a day that Tesla is launching their new Roadster 2.0

Beware of the ‘Mom’s Basement Man’. He’s gonna school you in everything you did wrong.

Aside from these 4 tips, you want to make sure you stay on top of your game, answer the comments right away, and get ready to welcome your new customers.
