Hello Stellite Community!

As mentioned in the last monthly update, the devs are back to developing their respective product in full force after our successful fork to V5 in January. Especially regarding the general direction and community / marketing engagement, February 2019 was an important month for all of us. Let’s talk about what happened in the ‘Stelliteverse’:

StellitePay Update

StellitePay had a complete design overhaul and presents itself with a few new features:

  • 2FA — Enhanced security for StellitePay users
  • Night (dark) mode
  • API updates for merchants

On top of the 2FA feature, StellitePay’s security was also hardened by another hardcoded layer which is not visible on the frontend.

Mobile Android Wallet

As many of you already know, noreithe is currently preparing an android wallet for Stellite. Sending, receiving, creating new wallets and more features are already up and running.

The wallet core is still in its test phase and things have to be secure and robust before we can work on the wallet’s design.

Bitcointalk re-release

Since the original post on bitcointalk.org a lot has changed. We want our bitcointalk-post to represent the current state of the project, this is why we’re going to ‘re-release’ Stellite on bitcointalk.org (we unfortunately don’t have permission to edit the old post which was made back in January 2018). We hope this gives the bitcointalk-community a new and fresh impression of what Stellite is now in 2019 and more attention to our project!

The Community Spoke and We Listened

This month we had a long and productive discussion about Stellite’s marketing and communication on Discord. The community presented its concerns and suggestions and we’re very thankful for that. Being an open-source project with people working together from all over the world, it can be challenging to communicate development progress and relevant information in a way we all want and you as a community deserve.

Be sure that we heard you!

We already followed up with some tweets and are collecting and organizing our development progress in order to present it to you!

On top of that, we asked our long-time active community member @MaxieX9 ‏ (on Telegram and Discord known as nathanielx9/Nathaniel King) to help us out with more Twitter engagement. He’s not only a great source for crypto TA but also very informed and savvy when it comes to crypto news and trends. Happy to have you on board!

Last month’s update was mostly a summary of the previous year. With this one I would like to point out what is being worked on currently:

  • Work on new POW algorithm development had already started — this one will focus our final stage of development of the core — “the best possible mining on mobile phones”
  • IPFS/Zeronet implementation to V5 daemon is in progress as well — we switched to new IPFS core and some cross-chain IPFS implementations are in play
  • StellitePay has grown and few more tweaks needs to be done before mass adoption will start, scalability is main target now
  • Mobile Miner is being prepared for Public Alpha — as we would like you to test on different devices
  • Android wallet implementation is being tested and public beta can be expected

As promised, we’ll be focusing more on keeping you up to date on Stellite’s core products. Stay tuned for more information on Twitter and Discord & thanks for your support. This is what keeps us going!!
