Torque Development Update

Rebrand

All our software is incrementally being updated to reflect the new brand, the releases are already being made. They are not creating any backward incompatibility so if you are still running some Stellite branded software your coins are still safe.

StellitePay

While StellitePay is still awaiting its new name and rebranding, its core is better than ever. All features we wanted implemented before going further are there and the closed beta helped us find a lots of bugs.

This is why we feel confident to release it in open beta on April 10th. Meaning everyone will be granted access without needing an access code. This will also be a good time to stress test it and see where we could add performance improvements.

Following the open beta and in our usual opensource ideology, the code itself will be made public at some point. Everyone will be welcome to contribute and make it even better than it is now.

“Disclaimer: Even though we feel confident about the platform, open beta might still contain bugs so we will advise people to not send their whole balance there for testing purpose.”

IPFS / ZeroNet

IPFS/ZN integration is seeing a fresh update. The libznipfs is being updated to support the latest IPFS version and work is being done to strengthen the daemon side implementation. We want to put this technology out of beta after this update will be completed.

We’re also working on a whole new technology based on IPFS and ZeroNet but this will be the topic of an article on its own.

Mobile Miner

The mobile miner is also a big part of our development. It already contains a basic version of the AMAYC protocol that still needs refinement.

Another feature being worked on is the possibility to integrate a Spay account directly.

There are, however, still some bugs where the miner will just hang and freeze and some UI improvements to do which is why we’re not rushing a release just to please the community.

v6 will also be a game changer for the mobile miner with a much more CPU friendly algorithm.

v6

Our new Proof of Work is already implemented on the daemon side. The heavy lifting is now to be done on the miner software and pool software side.

We’re already in contact with some miner developers to help us implement it in the best possible way.

Torque Card Reader

This project, while already a working proof of concept, is not seeing updates these days as we’re prioritizing other develoment. Once we’ll see more finished products on all the previous items we will come back to developing it and Spay will have dedicated credit cards and hardware point of sale.

Thank you for reading and for your continuous support [even in difficult times]
