We believe that the successful adoption of powerful data-driven AI technologies does not start with a massive transformation of the core organisation or in large project silos. Rather, it’s done by adopting one use case at a time, harvest real value from each use case and incrementally build the knowledge and skills needed to move AI into other business areas by learning to work in an agile process across different roles and teams in the organisation.

We have developed a model with the goal of succeeding with the first use case as quickly and cheaply as possible. This is done with a two-phase approach, first, identify a use case and then develop this into a pilot AI case using an open and well-tested framework that can take machine learnings models from exploration and design to production in a repeatable way.

Discover & Define

A common mistake organisations make when starting their AI journey is to aim for disrupting existing business rather than finding opportunities for using AI to improve the efficiency of existing processes.

We have created a full-day workshop, where our senior business developers, product developers and scientists work with you, following a structured format, to identify the best opportunities for small AI pilot projects to build momentum in your organisation and your teams.

The first step is to answer the the right questions, such as:

  • Can better decisions be made?
  • Where are your organisation/department most inefficient?
  • Where does your organisation have a lot of relevant data?
  • What business outcome do you want to achieve?
  • Will this actually solve your problem?

Based on the findings of the discovery phase it is time to move to the next step.

Identify top candidates for an AI pilot by verifying properties such as:

  • You have a well-defined problem to solve
  • You have clear ways to measure the outcomes
  • You’ve balanced the highest possible impact against the lowest complexity
  • You have access to good data
  • You know that stakeholders can act on the results

The workshop aims to help you discover opportunities for using AI based on advanced machine learning. By the end of the workshop you have a clear understanding of your AI opportunities, a “Lean AI canvas”, and actionable next steps for getting started.

How to do your first AI pilot?

The next phase in our approach is develop and deliver. We believe this is best done using an open and well-tested framework that can take machine learnings models from exploration and design to production in a repeatable way. We have created a service designed specifically to help organisations succeed with their very first AI project using our Lean AI framework.
