Introduction
Since the beginning of Scallop’s development, we have always strived to design new breakthroughs utilising Sui Network’s robust infrastructure and technology. Scallop has always been a strong advocate for developing new solutions to enhance the Sui’s DeFi ecosystem.
Our drive to constantly develop new and useful features makes Scallop the first protocol on Sui Network to introduce multiple features like Scallop SDK, Scallop Flash Loans and Scallop Tools, which is a UI Tool for building Sui Programmable Transaction Blocks.
To encourage more builders on Sui to push the boundaries of DeFi solutions on Sui, Scallop is launching our very own SCA Ecosystem Grant!
SCA Ecosystem Grant
The Scallop Grant Program is designed to support the growth and development of the Scallop ecosystem on the Sui blockchain. By offering the SCA Grant, we aim to encourage both current and new builders and partners to come up innovative solutions and designs for DeFi protocols, GameFi applications, tools, and dashboards that leverages on Scallop’s infrastructure. This can include Scallop Lending/Borrowing, Scallop Market Coins (sCoins), Scallop SDK, API, Indexer, and more.
By doing so, Scallop wishes to form a tight-knit community of builders and partners and drive for greater adoption of Sui DeFi through attractive incentives and development support.
Objectives Summary
- Innovation: Drive innovation within the Scallop ecosystem through the support of new projects and ideas.
- Expansion: Expand the utility and functionality of the Scallop ecosystem by funding diverse applications and services.
- Community: Strengthen the Scallop community by facilitating collaboration and engagement among developers, users, and stakeholders.
The SCA Ecosystem Grant will feature 2 primary categories:
- Developer Category
- Community Category
Developer Category Grant
This category is open to any builders or developers looking to enhance Scallop’s features or to build on any of Scallop’s current infrastructure, including but not limited to:
Scallop Lending/Borrowing, Scallop Market Coins (sCoins), SDK, API, Indexer and more.
Successful applicants will receive be able to receive SCA Grant ranging from 10K to 100K SCA.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Developer Grant:
- Be based on the Scallop ecosystem on Sui, utilising Scallop’s features and services.
- Aim to develop DeFi protocols, GameFi applications, CLI tools, etc. or dashboards that provide tangible benefits to users.
- Have a clear and realistic roadmap, with defined milestones and objectives.
Application Process
- Proposal Submission: Submit a comprehensive proposal outlining your project idea, objectives, expected impact on the Scallop ecosystem, technical details, timeline, and budget to grant@scallop.io.
- Review: The Scallop Grant Committee will review submissions on a rolling basis, evaluating proposals based on their innovation, feasibility, and potential impact.
- Interview: Shortlisted projects may be invited for an interview to discuss their proposal in more detail.
- Decision: Final decisions will be communicated to applicants, and successful projects will proceed to the funding stage.
Community Category Grant
This category is open to all Sui community members who are interested in driving Scallop’s exposure and adoption to new Sui users, and potentially the wider DeFi ecosystem.
The Community Grant will be granted to initiatives including educational content, real life events, and various other community building initiatives.
The Community Grant will also be granted and distributed through application and vetting process.
Successful applicants will receive be able to receive SCA Grant ranging from 2K to 5K SCA.

- Prepare your proposal in a clear and structured document.
- Email your proposal to grant@scallop.io with the subject line “Scallop Grant Program Application”.
- The Scallop Grant Program accepts applications on a rolling basis.
- Applicants can expect a decision within 4–6 weeks from submission.
