You already know how data breaches have put all your information out there — your name, phone number, email address, home address, etc. everything is with scammers.

Every single one of us has our information being misused by scammers. But with that information, scammers can only target you — whether they succeed in scamming you depends solely on you. Scammers rely on you to make a mistake for their scams to succeed.

In the scam I am writing about today, scammers lure you into their trap by staging fake conversations on social messaging apps.

How It Begins

Almost all of us have some social messaging app on our phones — most likely WhatsApp.
