Jessica Ridley receives a text message from her bank about a suspicious transaction on her account. She calls her bank immediately, but the line is busy.

Minutes later, she gets a text message from her bank again, advising her of a callback later concerning the suspicious transaction.

….the man said the bank must create new accounts for her and transfer all the money from her compromised account into the new “safe” accounts.

The 33-year-old TV presenter from Australia did not suspect anything shady; the messages came from the genuine phone numbers belonging to her bank.

Expectedly, she soon receives a call from a phone number belonging to her bank. A man posing as her bank employee claims her bank account has been compromised.

To prevent scammers from stealing her money, the man said the bank must create new accounts for her and transfer all the money from her…
