How to navigate Rarity 2
A couple of features worth knowing
Since we launched Rarity 2 to a beta group on 23 February, we thought it prudent to share some of their feedback on navigating the website UI now that we have made some changes. Below are some images that will help guide your way.
Recruiting an adventurer
This works in exactly the same way as Rarity Classic. You choose your Adventurer, and then recruit them by confirming a transaction in your wallet.
Go on an Adventure
The first step is to go on an adventure, which is unchanged. This allows you to collect XP in order to get gold — it is critical to know that you cannot claim your gold unless your Adventurer is named! We discuss naming below.
Approving the Naming of your Adventurer
The process for naming your Adventurer is slightly different, in that the currency is different and you are required to approve the spend of the governance token, $RGV in your wallet. If you do not have $RGV, you can purchase it on Spookyswap, and entering the contract address which is: 0x2fc49294398486f50302b7f1cddd1efdc7f9785c.
Approval happens by clicking on the area circled in red — this will open another approval transaction in your wallet. Remember — only named Adventurers can claim gold…and Gold is Rare in our game, as explained here.
Naming of your Adventurer
Now that you have approved the naming of your Adventurer, you can now go ahead and name them. In order to do this, you will see that the area in the top left of the above image (there is a 30 there now) can be edited as it has a tick next to it. In the example below I have edited the name and all I need to do is click on the tick mark, and then approve the action in my wallet. note that if the name you want has already been taken, the transaction will fail and you will need to select a new name.
Approving gold
At some stage of your journey, you need to approve gold, circled in the image below in red. This is after you have named your Adventurer — this action will allow you to claim your gold for in-game spending or wrap your gold for market trading. Approving gold will need to be approved in your wallet per normal transaction mode.
