One of the biggest threats Mankind is facing nowadays is rapid rise in Pollution. It is destroying the natural habitat as well as the atmospheric layers which protect us. The degradation of the atmosphere has also resulted in the rise of the Surface Temperature.

The emissions are resulting in melting glaciers, sea ice shifting and irrational distribution of rainfall. The problems may not seem to be so serious but there are some problems which are going to occur soon if the Government does not pay attention to the matter.

Man due to his needs has always done some activities that not only harmed the environment but himself too. All the activities like, mining, deforestation, use of fossil fuels, have damaged the environment badly. Humans need to understand that they're depleting the natural resources and the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing rapidly.

Since 1906, the Global Average Surface Temperature has increased by 1.6°c, which has resulted in a massive rise in the sea level and trapping the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Many species of birds and animals have gone extinct due to the rise in temperature, sea level as well as the air being polluted. Few birds, some insects and even earthworms are not common as they used to be. The amount of rainfall has gradually declined over the past few decades, just because of one major reason- Climate Change.

The ozone layer depletion is also the biggest threat mankind faces. If there is going to be more and more depletion without any further recovery, earth will lose it’s climatic balance. NASA's images of the Ozone Layer clearly show the damage mankind has caused to it, it has been shrinking and depleting over the decades.

We, the residents of Earth, need to understand, that this is our home, the only place we can be in safe. It is our mutual duty to protect as well as cherish the atmosphere. And if every human being will start contributing for the noble cause of saving the planet and it’s Atmosphere, mankind will surely exist for a longer term on Earth.
