Human trafficking is the most dangerous threat to our society. Human beings of every age falls into the dark abyss of this. There are people in our society who runs these, which for them is termed as a mere ‘business’ to earn money by costing others. This act is very awful and people doing it do not even deserves the space in hell. Immature girls and kids are selled to other people who pay them for it. Trafficking in persons is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. The traffickers mainly do it by showing

threat or use of force, coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power or vulnerability, or giving payments or benefits to a person in control of the victim. For the purpose of exploitation, which includes exploiting the prostitution of others, sexual exploitation, forced labour, slavery or similar practices and the removal of organs.

To ascertain whether a particular circumstance constitutes trafficking in persons, consider the definition of trafficking in the Trafficking in Persons Protocol and the constituent elements of the offense, as defined by relevant domestic legislation.

The big question is, ‘IS IT THE SAFE WORLD WE ARE LIVING IN?’

The answer to this is a big no because every minute a person is being exploited or selled. While we enjoy with our families in luxury, there are poor and small kids who are kidnapped by these traffickers and then they exploit them. The hunger for money is very vast growing like some parasite and people are doing whatever they could to earn money. They don’t even think that these acts of shame is going to lead them nowhere.

Victims of trafficking often experience harsh physical impacts due to excessive work or the use of force by traffickers. In addition, victims may be exposed to serious health risks, such as HIV/AIDS, as well as serious mental health risks. Anxiety, insecurity, fear, and trauma are all products of trafficking.

The 3 most common types of human trafficking are sex trafficking, forced labor, and debt bondage. Forced labor, also known as involuntary servitude, is the biggest sector of trafficking in the world, according to the U.S. Department of State. Debt bondage is another form of human trafficking in which an individual is forced to work in order to pay a debt.

Sex trafficking disproportionately affects women and children and involves forced participation in commercial sex acts. In the United States, any child under the age of 18 who has been involved in a commercial sex act is considered a trafficking victim. Women and girls make up 80% of the people trafficked transnationally. Yearly, traffickers exploit 1 million children in the commercial sex trade.

Perceptions of human trafficking often involve women forced into prostitution. This is just one aspect of human trafficking. Survivors of trafficking also include men and children, and these survivors are exploited by any number of means.

The solution to this issue is to raise awareness among down trodden people as they are the most to be affected by this to stay safe and become a mentor to a young person or someone in need. Traffickers often target people who are going through a difficult time or who lack strong support systems. As a mentor, you can be involved in new and positive experiences in that person’s life during a formative time.

THIS ISSUE NEEDS A END IN OUR SOCIETY AS ‘HUMANS- NOT FOR SALE….’
