Equality and Diversity in Tech

How School of Code is helping to change the industry.

We live within an incredibly diverse community in the 21st Century, however, even today the work environment in the UK does not match with the diversity within our local communities. In the Tech scene this is even more of an issue.

Research has shown, quite clearly, that organisations which foster equality and diversity within their workforce experience significantly more innovation, higher quality projects and faster project turnaround. Overall the benefits are incredible. The UK Tech sector wants to change and provide a more equal and diverse work environment which in turn allows the UK to become a more innovative and pioneering workforce.

School of Code exists to ensure that the Tech sector becomes just that, whilst ensuring that equality and diversity is established. Our approach is built upon recruiting Bootcamp attendees from a wide range of backgrounds. Whilst on the course, the Bootcamp attendees are provided with training in tech skills, as well as a wide range of soft skills. The result is that our students are able to move into the industry with the necessary skills to do the job they have been selected for whilst also being capable of adding significant value and progressing quickly within their new role.
