With hundreds of lives changed already through our free coding Bootcamp, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our next online course, where we’ll be taking another group of complete coding beginners, from all walks of life, on a transformational journey to become professional software developers, in just 16 weeks!

Open to anyone aged 19+ and living in England, applications are open now and will close on 14th November 2022!

The purpose of the School of Code is to give everyone a route into technology and teach them the skills they need to leap into the industry.
With a 50:50 gender split, age range of 19–60 and demographics proportional to the local area in each cohort, we’re proving that the creative, collaborative programmers that the industry craves can come from anywhere if people have the right support and motivation.

We want to change tech education to produce well-rounded, world-class, hyper-diverse talent and believe that everyone should have access to top-quality education regardless of their backgrounds.

That’s why our Bootcamps require no academic qualifications or any previous coding experience to apply and are 100% free for applicants!

By the end of the course, our graduates are specialised in full-stack JavaScript development and fully trained in the industry’s best practices and standards, having learned the fundamentals of programming and how to work in a high-performance tech team. On top of creating software to solve real-world problems, they’ll have received training to be confident and job-ready.

So far, we’ve helped former teachers, parents returning to work, school leavers, refugees, carers, beauticians, unemployed people, bakers, barbers, retail assistants, artists, travel, health and hospitality workers and many more career changers, all learn how to code and change their career paths.

“Before the School of Code Bootcamp, I was working as a chef in a theatre. I would spend 9–12 hours in the kitchen with barely any days off. I pursued culinary arts because of my passion for food. But the hours were unsociable and I became less motivated. The School of Code has now given me so much more than a new skillset and career perspective, it’s given me a new drive in my life, new friends and a great memory!” Graduate Duy Khang Khuat, QA Engineer at Huel

“I had been worried that at the age of 50 I would find it difficult to get into another career, but this hasn’t been the case. The School Of Code gave me a lot of confidence that I could change my career.” Graduate Kira Green, Software Developer at Percayso.

Our aim is to challenge stereotypes of coding by making it team-based, sociable and fun!
