Hey developers and developerettes,

If you’re a blockchain and cryptocurrency enthusiast, we’ve got some exciting news for you! Dinger is hyped to launch our very first coding competition. This event is a fantastic opportunity for you to show off your coding skills and bag some cool prizes in the process — a lot like the art competition we did recently, but with code!

We’re all about innovation, creativity, and pushing the limits when it comes to blockchain tech, and this competition embodies all of that. We believe that developers and coders are the backbone of the blockchain industry, and we’re thrilled to offer you a chance to display your skills and potentially win some great rewards — as long as you got what it takes.

The competition is open to all developers and coders with a passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Participants will be tasked with creating innovative and practical software solutions in two exciting categories — infrastructure and creativity!

The competition will be held online (just like the art competition that came beforehand) and will run for a period of nine weeks. Participants will be required to develop solutions in any of the two areas:

Creative

Do you have what it takes to bring your dreams to life? Do androids dream of electric sheep? Do you? Well, if this sounds like you, why not try your hand at the creative side of the competition, where you can develop anything you like, as long as it’s interesting, original, and remotely Dinger-related.

Infrastructure

Are you a hard-to-the-code Dapp developer? So are we! In fact, we’re nearing completion of our long-awaited accelerator Catapult as well as 9Lives, our investor assurance platform. With this in mind, we’re looking for creative individuals to develop a side dish for our main course! Do you have an idea that can fit snugly in the Dinger ecosystem? Here is a one-time chance to make your bones and present your idea for a prize!

Prizes

Unlike the art competition, which had a top three, the coding competition goes to the one and only in each category. The best creative coding solution will receive a prize of $1000, while the best infrastructure solution will receive a prize of $1000!

We can’t wait to see what you come up with, so get those coding fingers ready and join us for an unforgettable competition — but before you do that, let’s go over some ground rules.

Guidelines

1. We’re thrilled to welcome participants from all over the world and encourage a decentralized approach to participation. Regardless of where you are located, you’re welcome to join us for this fantastic opportunity — you can be on Mars for all we care.

2. All submissions must be made before the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of the quality of the work submitted. We recommend submitting your work well in advance to avoid any technical difficulties that may arise as the deadline approaches — code may be finicky, don’t be finicky.

3. Our expert panel of judges will evaluate all submissions and award points based on the creativity, utility, and complexity of the projects. We encourage participants to showcase just what they can come up with.

4. Any trace of plagiarism or copying the code of others will not be tolerated, and we will disqualify participants who engage in such activities. We value integrity and originality and want to ensure that all submissions are the work of the participants. Code thieves will be thrown out.

5. We welcome multiple submissions from participants, as long as each one is unique. We encourage participants to showcase their versatility and creativity by submitting a range of innovative projects in both categories, just don’t spam. Less is more, so long as it’s quality work.

6. Participants are allowed to participate in both categories of the competition. We want to see your talent and innovation in action.

7. Make sure to take the time to ensure that your work is as polished and bug-free as possible. We understand that bugs and defects can happen, but we encourage all participants to thoroughly test their code before submitting it. Buggy code means less points from our judges.

8. MAKE SURE TO FEATURE DINGER IN ALL OF YOUR WORK. We don’t really mind how you’ll do it, so long as the essence of dinger makes it into your work.

How to Participate:

  • Join the Dinger community on Discord and introduce yourself.
  • Read the competition guidelines carefully and choose the category you want to work on (working on both doubles your chances).
  • Develop your solution and submit it before the deadline.
  • Wait for the judges to announce the winners.

Remember to read these rules carefully before you start work. Here are some important dates for you to remember.

Winners will be announced on May 1, 2023.
