Sci-Fi & Fantasy Submission Rules

Follow these rules to add your story to this collection…

Hey everyone. If you love writing and you especially love science fiction and fantasy stories, then this will hopefully, over time, become your favorite stomping grounds.

In order to maintain some semblance of credibility, I’d like to adhere to a set of rules. We’ll call them guidelines for now. Nothing set in stone. Comment on the rules as you wish. I reserve the right to change the rules at any time, but I don’t think I will.

Rule #1. It must be a fictional story with a science fiction and/or fantasy theme. No reviews, rants, or opinion pieces. Stories only.

Rule #2. Your first story must be at least a 10 minute read. Sequels to your first story can be shorter, but the first story must be something relatively significant. If you start an unrelated story, it also must be at least a 10 minute read. Only sequels or subsequent chapters can be less than 10 minutes.

Rule #3. It must be an entirely original work. I don’t want to read about your twist on some famous movie or book. I want to read something new.

Rule #4. It must be clear writing. You must spell-check, grammar-check, and make sure the story is clean and readable. I understand some of you may not be English-first writers. That’s okay. But you should still find someone to pre-read your story and help you work through any grammatical issues.
