a lifetime of stories to convey.
Youth’s passion burns with each inked line,
urgency expresses every single thought,
but as the well deepens over decades of craft
the words slow and become more measured.
No longer a torrent, but a steady trickle
of carefully chosen droplets.
The heart, the soul stir emotions deep,
as layers peel back meanings.
The later works dwell in subtleties
explored in a delicate wave.
Writer and reader intertwine
as maturity beckons.
The long journey of writer’s art,
which began with explosion
ends with a steady heart,
and perhaps a whimper.
