Rolls-Royce is on it with a special model just for powering moon bases and zooming through space missions. No matter if there’s sunshine or not, this micro-reactor will keep going strong. They’re planning to have it moon-ready in the early 2030s with some help from a £2.9 million boost from the UK Space Agency!

Development and Future Prospects
With loads of support, funding, and brainpower from university partnerships & research centers, things are MOVING along with the micro-reactor. Rolls-Royce has its sights set on having it ready for lunar duties by the early 2030s — they got that £2.9 million backing again from the UK Space Agency!
