Nope, It Isn’t “Cognition All the Way Down”

Few know that I owe a significant debt of gratitude to philosopher of mind Daniel Dennett. He very graciously agreed, about a dozen years ago, to write one of the letters of recommendation that got me my first academic post in philosophy, as Chair of the Department at Lehman College, part of the City University of New York.
