Welcome to the Science Bloggers Publication. Our mission is to showcase and build a diverse community of science writers where we can share our experiences and knowledge in science communication.

Whether you have been writing for some time, or are new and this is the first time you are writing a science article, we want to hear from you. You can write on anything science related, from explaining a concept to our readers, to reporting on new research, or delving into a piece of science history you think no one has heard about. Maybe you have a personal story you need to tell.

If you are interested in submitting an article to this publication, please fill out this form, or send a request to contribute below, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

What We Publish & What We Don’t

Is Science Bloggers is fit for your story, or are we going to pass? Here are some of the things we are looking for:

Finished Drafts

Your first time submitting should be a completed, ready to be published (well, almost) draft. The work should also be unpublished, meaning it doesn’t appear anywhere else on the internet, or in print.

Science Based Articles

The article can be science-related. This can be based on a press-release, published research, something really cool happening near you, or something you think everyone should know. Be sure to cite your sources by placing links in your article, and those sources must come from reputable locations.

Personal Essays

All personal essays must be science-related. It can be anything from how you managed to get into the PhD program of your choice despite almost failing your final year, or you might talk about how you ended up in science in the first place. The sky’s the limit here. (Well, almost).

Science Communication

Science writing is continuing to evolve at a rapid pace and this is largely due to technology. Not only are we capable of reaching a much wider audience than before, we now have new ways to communicate that message. If you would like to discuss how our field is changing (whether it’s for the best or not), or what techniques you have learned that others should know, send us your article. We all become better through the sharing of knowledge.

Is there More?

Yes, of course there is. The above is just a start and it’s possible some things may have been missed. If you think your piece is in line with our goals, feel free to submit. We will get back to you soon and tell you whether we are interested or not.

In Conclusion…

That should cover it. We look forward to hearing from you.
