Gift of Carrots:

Carrots are vegetables available in multicolor and enjoyed both in raw and cooked form. They are available throughout the year and are a part of fruit and vegetable salad.

The benefits of carrots are many, including improving metabolism, heart function, eyesight, liver, and reduces the risk of cancerous diseases and that of diabetes.

Carrots and weight loss:

Amazingly they can help you to reduce body fat and thus in healthy weight loss. Dieting doesn’t ask you to stay hungry but it asks you to turn to healthy food. Diet plans do matter in losing weight. Carrots are a part of the foods which can keep you healthy

A friend of mine overcame her adiposity by adding carrots to her diet plan. She wasn’t a big fan of salad and the only thing she can stand with was carrots. She told me that before starting a meal she would be eating some carrots in some form to avoid food enriched with carbohydrates or fats. Carrots in raw and in cooked form, both of them worked for her and she got her way.

Why do carrots assist in weight loss?

Researchers show that 88 percent of carrots' content is composed of water. It has alpha-carotene, beta carotene and lutein. Beta carotene is converted to vitamin A in the body. And many other vitamins especially vitamin C and D are in carrot. Carrots are fibrous and are fat-free.

Fibrous food helps in weight loss as the person takes longer to digest it and is less likely to feel hungry. Moreover, we can consume more of these vegetables without accumulating enough fats. Reducing our appetite somewhat can help in healthy weight loss. The best thing is that they have a sweet taste and have appetizing colors and have more sugar than any other vegetable. They are not boring vegetables. That’s why they can’t can be withstood for more time.

So there are many different ways to use them in food and they may vary from country to country. Whatever the method is, carrot is nutritious. And unlike other foods used for dieting, it is sweet to taste. Even eating them as salad can not tire you. It is possible to add them to our routine life although high consumption is supposed to can decolor the skin. So enjoy this gift of nature cautiously!
