Everyone has days where they don’t feel like doing anything. Today is one of those days for me as well.

When you are on the path of creating better habits, you need to be consistent. No matter what the habit is, consistency is required. The best thing you can do on the days where you don’t feel like doing anything is to do it for just 2 minutes.

This helps you be consistent everyday while not pushing you to your limits. Most of us end up quitting on our habits because they are too hard to do every day. And once we force yourself too much, we end up quitting. This is why it’s so important to just do the bare minimum when it gets hard. It stops you from quitting. Even though 2 minutes may not seem like much, it is far better than not taking action at all.

It also encourages you to do more. When you take action for 2 minutes, you realize that you can go on for longer, and you will most likely end up doing more.

Take me for example. I thought of writing for only 2 minutes today. I’ve ended up writing for around 12 minutes in order to make this post. That’s 6 times more than what I planned.

Sometimes, all you need is a little push to get the ball rolling. All you need to do is take the first step.
