Every human must know!
Gazing at sky we get a lot of questions in our mind. It resuscitates the old sweet childhood memories. Our dreams might’ve started when we had looked at the sky for the first time. — I’m one-hundred-percent sure about it! Looking at those sparkling lights glittering in the vast sky. When our parents had pointed out at sky and made us sing twinkle twinkle little star…. We must have learned the rhyme in ecstasy— that’s all we(toddlers) know then. — that’s every child know……
With the wink of an eye we are transformed into wiser ones — into homo-Sapien-Sapiens. Presently, we’re gazing at those stars from the lens of adulthood. In adulthood, we found the sky is same, stars are same. It’s our curiosity that’s undergone a change! Back then we knew the usage of a few senses — our eyes and ears in particular. Now we’re evolved beings. From childhood to adulthood, we’ve learned harnessing the power of the machinery in our skulls. We’ve started imagining! — that’s the only superpower we have.
By staring at the vast sky we can imagine the mysteries it hold.
Our search for extraterrestrial life or in short — aliens — has led to the immense innovation in the field of space science. We’ve developed rockets that can carry tons of weightage in the form of equipments, carrying them into outer space. We’ve marked our presence on the surface of Mars with Mars probe. Our missions like Voyager-1 have transcended the boundaries of our solar system, becoming the first spacecraft to cross into interstellar space.
Let’s skim through a few important discoveries in the field that link directly or indirectly to the presence of aliens.
No doubt, the topic about the existence of aliens has layers and is continuously-evolving, and thus, it’s almost a challenge to research this topic. But, we’ve tried to cover a lot.

ok..ok..I understand….You might be more familiar with the word alien. — Me too!
Extraterrestrial life is a hypothetical concept. Such life forms (in case they exist) thrive in places other than Earth. It means they didn’t originate on our planet.
Types of extraterrestrial life we can expect:
Prokaryotes: are unicellular organisms, eg,. bacteria.
Intelligent beings: like us, or dolphins, Chimpanzees, apes or maybe humans — species similar to our own.
Sapient beings: Sapience means wisdom, and sapient being means the being that acts with wisdom eg., Romans regarded goddess Minerva as a sapient being.
Unknown/can’t be said/fast and more advanced: we can’t even predict about these extraterrestrial beings. We don’t know how and what features they might have.

Mythology:
You might be wondering: what’s this in the above picture? Well, these are the ruins of the Atlantis civilisation— though were never found. Above picture shows, if Atlantis existed then its ruins must have been in state as depicted in the picture.
In Republic, Plato talks about a civilisation named Atlantis. Plato further says, ‘the Greek god Poseidon ruled Atlantis’. He mentions the marriage of Greek god with a human being. If it’s true, then it makes Poseidon an extraterrestrial being. He gives description of the humongous structures in the civilisation. And, he also talks about their arsenal of advanced weapons — their superpowers. They’d advance knowledge in every discipline.
Were the Atlantians the descendants of a species of aliens? Were they?…..
Till date, no archaeological evidence of such a civilisation has been found. If they existed in reality, and were aliens or humans — can only be proved once we find the remnants of this forgotten civilisation. If it’s true…….
Connections with famous scientists and inventors:
World renowned Indian mathematician Ramanujan admitted he was in connection with an alien being. You might’ve heard the name of Nikola Tesla! We all have!

FBI’s recently declassified document revealed that Nikola Tesla, one of the world famous inventors came from Venus. i.e, he was an extraterrestrial being.

Drake’s equation :
Scientists like Frank Drake have formulated equations for determining the probability of extraterrestrial life. The equation (Drake equation) is used to estimate the number of active, communications of extraterrestrial civilisations in the Milky Way . The Drake equation gives a summary of the factors affecting the “likelihood” that we might detect radio-communication from intelligent extraterrestrial life
But no such radio-wave giving sound evidence of the presence of aliens has been found (though there are certain types of radio-wave frequencies detected, but there’s no solid proof).
Look through your window. There maybe an alien peeping inside. Ok..don’t look…I’ll do it for you. You concentrate on the next unsolved paradox.
Fermi’s paradox — it’s always remained a hot topic in the field of alien theories.
It says, there are billions of stars in our milk way galaxy — some of these stars must have earth like planets — some of them must have been much older than our sun — so they may have evolved intelligent life millions of years back — some of them may have explored ways of interstellar travel — so earth must have been visited by those interstellar beings long ago — there is no solid proof of the argument.
You might be thinking, Fermi’s paradox looks like a thought process. Yes, it’s a thought process. A complex one! Try to solve the paradox. Maybe, after solving it you’d be nominated as the next Nobel prize recipient. I’m not kidding…….scientists are trying to solve it…..

Conditions (according to scientists) needed for extraterrestrial life to exist:
Look around! What do you see? Witness everything. You’ll realise, ranging from minute particles to gigantic structures — it’s all just one of the three elements, or two of them, or all the three, namely:
Water
Organic complexes
Energy
Didn’t find? Look closely. Yeah, you’re looking in the right direction. Now, imagine if one of them is absent. What would happen?
— very simple! Absence of any one of these can’t produce others. Why? — They’re in a closed loop where each one of them is necessary for the presence of another.
Types of civilisations:
This concept was put forward by soviet astronomer Nikolai Kardashev in 1964. He proposed a scale to find out about the technological advancement of a civilisation. The Kardashev scale is a method of measuring a civilisation’s level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is able to use.
These civilisations are as follows:
- A Type I civilisation, (also called a planetary civilisation) can use and store all of the energy available on its planet.
- A Type II civilization, (also called a stellar civilisation) can use and control energy at the scale of its planetary system.
- A Type III civilisation, (also called a galactic civilisation), can control energy at the scale of its entire host galaxy.
We’re not even a complete Type 1 civilisation yet. It’ll take time. Which thought comes in your mind when you think about human technologies evolving to the level of Type III civilisation? What would they do? What would happen?

United States will establish a new group to investigate reports on the presence of UFOs in restricted airspace, says a recent report.
How to detect aliens?
With the help of Transit method, used in detecting exoplanets. The transit method observes a preselected study of stars and observes reduction in brightness. If this reduction is observed in any of the selected stars then there’s a possibility that the star’s observable brightness is being reduced by a planet passing in front of it. These exoplanets have earth like conditions — life is possible here.
Another method is with the help of radio signals: Active SETI (Active Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) is the attempt to send messages to intelligent extraterrestrial life. Active SETI messages are usually sent in the form of radio signals.
Similar are METI (Messaging to extraterrestrial Intelligence). The science known as SETI deals with searching for messages from aliens. METI deals with the creation and transmission of messages to aliens.
One METI message says, “You are not alone!”

Planets or moons with possibilities of alien civilisations :
Mars — our Curiosity and Perseverance rovers are revving on the Martian rocky terrain. Though they’ve not found water yet. But, they’ve found the dry rivers that once had the source of all living beings — water. Are you planning to visit Mars in the near future? Are you one of those buying land on Mars? Are you?..
Let’s give you another option for investment — Venus.
Venus — it’s a hottest planet in our solar system — that’s what comes in your mind when the name strike your eardrums. Right? I completely agree with your question.
Many of Venera misions were not able to land on the planet’ surface. Yet, one of those missions made through — it lasted for almost two-hours.
Recent data shows there might be still life on the planet. Atronomers have found phosphine — produced by living organisms.
Kepler-186f : the earth size exoplanet. It exists at a distance 490 light years from earth.
Gliese 581g: another exoplanet at a distance of 20 light years from our planet.
There are planets too eg,. Gliese 667Cc, Kepler-22b, etc.
Are you feeling like a child again? See, your childhood had memories. I told you in the beginning. I just made you remember all that. You already know everything! You’re a scientist now. Apply for a job at NASA or some other space agency. They’re in dire need of people like you and me…

MUFO — (Mutual UFO Network)is an NGO, based in USA. It studies reported UFO sightings or civilian encounters with UFO’s. This organisation consists of four-thousand members worldwide.
Kosmopoisk — (translated as All Russian Research Public Organisation or spacesearch)is an organisation that carries out such investigations — mysterious ones. Russian sci-fi writer Alexander Kazantsev was one of the founders of this organisation.
Next time, you come across something unidentified in the sky; you know what and where to report.
Why are we searching for aliens?
Now, close your eyes. I want you to think about aliens. What would you do if you meet one?
I know you’re scratching your head…
You’ll run away? No. Don’t do that. Maybe you’ll find a Genie in the form of an alien, and it’s a possibility that he’ll grant anything that you’ve longed for ages — a luxurious house, a sports car, a dream vacation, or a beautiful fairy/Prince charming, or all of them. What would you ask? — close your eyes and think for a moment…..
Don’t you want to use those alienatic superpowers? I’m dying to give it a try!
But for scientists, they’re not looking for individual endeavours. They’re searching for the benefit of our entire species. — Not just humans, but other species too. — Not just other species, but for the entire universe. We want to serve earthians( all species included) first! Our demands will be:
Technology — Once they’ve reached us, it’ll be due to their technological superiority. We would never miss a chance of travelling beyond our galaxy in their flying-saucers.
Connection — We don’t want to stay alone. For ages, we’ve stayed alone in some dark corner of the universe — about which we don’t have any idea. We want to come out of this abyss. We want peace in the entire existence.
Our survival — We’ve a limited amount of resources. With the passage of time, our population will grow. A single earth wouldn’t be enough for our needs. With the help of our alien brothers and sisters, we can survive in the extreme conditions (when doomsday comes).
Exploring space — Perhaps going out for a vacation in some other galaxy — who doesn’t want? I want. You want. Everybody wants.
It’s possible once we come into contact with aliens, broadening our perspectives through their advanced technologies, and understanding the unsolved mysteries of cosmos.
What would we give in return:
Well, they won’t need anything from us. They’d already be far ahead of us in every aspect. Yet, we can be a great help to those brothers and sisters. We can find the common-link between both the civilisations. Maybe, we can develop a bond of synergy — help them in their futuristic plans — searching for life beyond our universe. Beyond universe? Do you think I wrote by mistake? No. I didn’t! Because we don’t have an idea what’s beyond our galaxy. There are bright chances of finding not just one universe but a lot, in plenty — called the multiverses.

For now, maybe both the civilisations together would find the mysterious force, operating all that is in existence.
How will humans react to the discovery of aliens?
A study was conducted regarding the hypothetical finding of extraterrestrial life. And people were asked about their reaction on this topic. It was found that majority of them were positive about the outcome — more people believed in rewards than risks.
Which one of them are you? Are you in favour? Or against?..
If we can exist; there must be extraterrestrial beings too. They must be lurking somewhere behind some shell of another solar system — in another earth like planet. Somewhere between one-hundred-billion galaxies. The presence of a planet with extraterrestrial life is no big deal in such a vast Universe. Not just one but at least a million of them.
Looking, billions-trillions light-years far away without a single trace of life doesn’t make any sense. Life must be there, somewhere…..
It means they exist. It’s great! Isn’t it?
No, it’s not great. It’s not even remotely great! — because we’ve not found any sound evidence of their existence.
I know what you’re thinking:
If they exist, then why haven’t we found them yet?
Well, our telescopes and computers are working at their full capacity continuously in search of them. There’s no doubt in it! Maybe we made a mistake. It might be a possibility that we’re searching for our neighbours in the wrong direction. Maybe they’re inside the black holes. Maybe we’re looking for them in the materialistic form when they’re enjoying their lives in dark matter.Maybe we’re looking for aliens that look like us — that’ve forms and shapes, skulls and bones, blood and bodily juices. Maybe they don’t have any of these earthly-features. Maybe they don’t take birth. Maybe they don’t die. Maybe they possess the super-advanced technologies — that’ve helped them to change shapes, colours and most importantly their positions in outer space. Maybe they’re living among us. Maybe I’m an alien! Or it’s you…..
