do you ever wonder
why certain disciplines
are centered on quantitative analyses,
reveling in patterns drawn from
dots across a scatterplot,
basing foundation on
the differences found
to be unlikely due to chance?

yet others draw themes
from spoken and written words
threading together stories
more directly from the source?

that all there is to know
rests on one method of learning,
as the world of diversity
cannot solely be diminished
into one method
of describing
the phenomena
that surrounds us.
