Airborne: WHO says don’t breathe the air may infect you with Coronavirus

The World Health Organization (WHO) is currently facing a bit of a dilemma due to the new research suggesting COVID-19 is airborne. It turns out that the deadly SARS-CoV-2 virus particles can spread from both air transmission as well as direct human transmission. The problem arises mainly in crowded areas and other such places without proper ventilation. The main reason is the static hold of the virus particles in the air in terms of aerosols and other air particles.

Till now the airborne nature is not dynamic in terms of flow, however, nothing is truly as proper research results are not out yet. WHO recently released official information discussing all the patterns of virus transmission. Turns out many scientists believe that the Coronavirus is airborne.

Coronavirus maybe Airborne in nature

Airborne transmission of the virus can occur in health care settings where specific medical procedures, called aerosol-generating procedures, generate very small droplets called aerosols. Some outbreak reports related to indoor crowded spaces have suggested the possibility of aerosol transmission, combined with droplet transmission, for example, during choir practice, in restaurants, or maybe even in fitness classes.

In the absence of aerosol-generating procedures, the WHO has been evaluating whether the virus can spread through aerosols. The Coronavirus is primarily transmitted between people via respiratory droplets and contact routes, the agency maintained.

Further studies are needed to determine whether it is possible to detect viable SARS-CoV-2 in air samples from settings where no procedures that generate aerosols are performed and what role aerosols might play in transmission. Currently, there are new Air filters out in the market which helps trap and kill the Coronavirus particles and helps you breathe fresh air. The implications of this airborne disease are very dangerous. Therefore further research is needed to be sure of the exact nature of this transmission.
