Getting Started with XML and Dynamic Templates
With our new XML and Dynamic Templates, you can easily add team stats to your graphics with a simple click. The ScoreShots platform gives you the flexibility to import your team XML file. But, what if, “I don’t have an XML stat provider?”. Don’t worry, stats can be added manually on the “Stats” menu and will be populated on the canvas. Once your stats are populated on the canvas you can continue customizing your template however you like!
So far we’ve added XML templates for basketball, hockey and lacrosse and Dynamic templates for football, baseball, and generic poll and schedule graphics. With many many more coming very soon!
Our Dynamic templates provide you with the flexibility to change the number of teams on your template. You can do this by updating the number in the “Widgets” section.
Here’s one of our Dynamic Bracket templates, capable of input up to 32 teams, defaulted to 16. So that’s 8 teams per side for a total of 16 teams! This template can be used for your end of season conference needs! You can find this template in our platform by going to our main template filter and searching “Template Type/Brackets”
Have an upcoming game and want to Showcase your schedule on InstaStory? Check out our InstaStory Schedule Template! Not only can this template be used for your schedule showcase, but it can also be used for your teams summary of weekend results. You can find this template in our platform by going to our main template filter and searching “Template Type/Schedule Showcase”
Our XML templates allow you to import your XML using our “Import Stats” feature.
Once the template is populated on the canvas you will see the option on the top left-hand side to “Import Stats”. Click, add your XML file, select your Home team, and click “Import”.
Your team’s stats will populate on the template in graphics, numbers, or more. Once, populated you can continue to customize your template as you normally would. Add logos, customize text, and even add a motion graphic!
