The newest feature we’ve been talking about so much, SlideStories, is hitting the platform today. You’ve always been able to add a high-quality video to your graphics, but now you can create more engaging multi-video content.

SlideStories is a collection of templates combined with animated transitions, text boxes, and objects rendered as a video.

Our initial release includes 2 templates (or “Stacks” as we call them at HQ); Pre-Game and Player Highlights. Both templates will be landscape in orientation (1024x576) and can be used with both video and image backgrounds. Users will be able to customize features such as length of a “slide”, transition type, or even, render out each slide as an image for a great Insta-story tap-through.

We plan to add two other default sizes for SlideStories. The first of which being square or 1:1 which will perfect for your Instagram feed. The other portrait or 19:7

Our Pre-Game Stack is the perfect piece of video content to announce when, where, and who’s playing in the game. It was designed to be used with no image or video backgrounds unless you want to add them.

The Player Highlight Stack is one of the most versatile. Use it to highlight MVP’s from the game, celebrate birthdays, or congratulate players of the week. You can duplicate templates and rearrange the order to customize the perfect video for your needs.

We’ve also recorded a tutorial to help take you through the ins and outs of creating. Please view those via our new YouTube channel! We hope these learning videos will help make the creation process simpler, but if you ever get stuck don’t forget about the chat button in the bottom right-hand corner. SlideStories Tutorial!

One of the biggest take-aways we want our users to know is SlideStories is not 100% like the Standard templates you’re used to. Some of the elements on the canvas are animated and with that animation comes the inability to move that element or you’ll lose the animation with it. Resizing has been disable as well. You can still add backgrounds/logos/cutouts, update text boxes, and customize your colors, but you’ll find that some of the objects on the canvas can not be moved. A few other items that aren’t currently implemented on SlideStories; motion graphics and resizing. But, a few items we are implementing very soon widgets and starting lineup dropdown!

With this initial release, we’re really looking to you, the user, to give us your honest feedback on how it works, what it looks like, and what you’d like to use it for. With any new software, there will be some time to iron out the kinks, but we promise we’ll iron them as quickly as possible!
