Have you ever been working on a template and think, “Huh, I’d love it if there were 11 spots for a starting line-up rather than 10.” Well, now you can make that happen! We’ve just added 2 templates that will allow you, the user, to determine how many spaces you may need to customize your template. One is a starting line-up and the other a conference schedule. We will continue to add tons of different options for these type of templates so be on the lookout! The second type of template type we’ve implemented is an XML capable stat shot. We’ve specifically added one for basketball but we’re working on ice hockey, lacrosse, baseball/softball, and more!

Below are a few instructions on how to find our newest templates and a little bit about how they work. We are working on adding a flag (a small icon on the preview image) for all templates that will be either XML or Dynamic capable. Please, reach out if you have any question at all and one of our service members will be available to help!

Dynamic Conference Schedule Template

Template Type: Schedule Showcase

This template is great for conferences looking to showcase their conference games for the week in any sport! You can find this by filtering your main screen of templates by “Template Type/Schedule Showcase”. It should be the very first one.

Once you select the template and are brought into the canvas you’ll see the left menu bar selection reads “Widgets”. These are the components that will make up your Dynamic template and determine the number of slots needed on your template. The max number available on this template is 10 and the minimum is 1. The slots will adjust according to what number is set in the Widgets menu. Much like resizing, we always suggest determining your number of widgets before creating instead of during. If you switch your widget number during it can skew some text and logo sizing.

Now, that you’ve set the number of widgets or slots you’ll need for this conference schedule it works almost exactly how a normal template would. Add your background photo or video, add your logos, customize your text, etc. That’s it!

*Note: There will be times, especially if you’re using very high-resolution images that rendering can time out or the canvas time can lag. Just be aware of this, save as a draft as much as you can, and try not to add “too much” onto your ScoreShot.

Dynamic Starting Lineup Template

Template Type: Starting Lineup or Player Highlight

Great for Soccer, Baseball/Softball starting lineup or even senior showcase this template can be found by filtering “Template Type/Starting Lineup”. It will be the second template in the list.

Upon opening, you will again want to set your Widget count before you begin customizing. This template has a max number of widgets of 12 and a minimum of 0.

Once set you can add photos or cutouts to each background image and customize the name. Again, be careful with a lot of high-resolution images or adding motion graphics.

XML Basketball StatShot

Template Type: Statistic Numbers for Basketball

Perfect for final stats from a basketball game, this template can be found by filtering “Sport/Category: Basketball”. Then, it should appear toward the bottom right of your screen.

Once selected and brought into your canvas you’ll want to start with stat addition. The template will open to the “Stats” menu option. At the top of that open menu, you will see a button to “Import XML”. Clicking this button will open a dialogue window where the file can be selected. Once selected, set your sport as Basketball and this will give the option to designate a Home and Visiting team. Then, click “Import”.

The stats will populate on the canvas and now you can customize the colors, background images, logos, etc.

If an XML file is not available, stats can be added manually on the “Stats’ menu and will be populated on the canvas.

That’s it for now, but we’ll be adding many many more in the weeks to come. If you run into any issues at all please reach out to us immediately via the chatbot in the right bottom corner. With any new feature, there is an expectation of some issues arising, but we’ll work swiftly to iron all of them out. Also, we’d love to hear what kind of templates you may want to see in XML or Dynamic capability. Shoot us a message with those ideas as well!
